For the purpose of this article, we refer to a medium-sized RHI stretch tent (10.5x15m / 157m²), capable of accommodating 80 people for a sit-down dinner.
1. Storage space
RHI stretch tents comprise of a single membrane that folds up into a compact, heavy-duty bag of 70x70x100cm.
When using RHIs pole connectors, just 3 metres of space is required to store them. The requirement for longer poles is achieved by joining sections together with the connectors. With these two points in mind, start-up rental companies can use an average-sized garage or storing unit to store well over 1 000m² of stretch tents! Music to any operators’ ears.
2. Transportation of equipment
The image below speaks for itself: a medium-sized stretch tent can be transported in a half-ton pickup, and, incredibly, this vehicle could easily transport a tent double the size.

The fact that a 150m² structure takes three riggers 1.5 hours to pitch from start to finish ticks a lot of boxes for logistics managers who need to plan schedules and liaise with rigging teams. Traditional marquees would take more than double the time.
