Epic-manufactured stretch tents for an Epic race

RHI Stretch Tents part of the Absa Cape Epic action for third consecutive year.

What is the Absa Cape Epic?

The Absa Cape Epic is an annual mountain bike stage race held in the Western Cape, South Africa. First staged in 2004, the race typically covers more than 700 kilometres (435 miles), and lasts eight days.

The Cape Epic attracts elite professional mountain bikers, but is also open to amateurs, from around the world who compete in teams of two. A total of 600 teams take part.

The race was described by Bart Brentjens, 1996 Olympic gold medallist in mountain biking and a former Absa Cape Epic winner, as the “Tour de France of mountain biking”. – Source

RHI Stretch Tents part of the Epic action

Cape Tents, a longstanding client of ours, is proud to have been part of the Absa Cape Epic support infrastructure for the third consecutive year.

Primarily supplying stretch tents for the Liqui Fruit Kids Zone, they created a safe area where the kids can play under supervision while their parents enjoy some Cape Epic action.

A combination of 20m x 15m and 8m x 7.5m stretch tents were used. Learn more about our stretch tent sizes, capacity and rigging options. Well done to the Cape Tents team for being a part of this incredible race.
