It’s always exciting for the RHI team to successfully complete a custom stretch tent design and installation project. Even more so when the location is in the heart of a town steeped in history and known for its sporting culture.
Before heading back home to South Africa after exhibiting in London at the 2014 Showman’s Show, we were invited by Stretch Tents Scotland to visit the Golf Inn for a site inspection. Here we started brainstorming the design of a stretch tent that would complement their 132m², oval-shaped, sunken courtyard and outdoor function area.
Situated bang in the middle of Gullane, Golf Inn is surrounded by three world famous golf courses, including Muirfield, which had hosted the Open Championship on numerous occasions.
After gathering the necessary information, photographs and a brief relating to where the entrances and exits should be, we returned to the RHI Headquarters to kick off the design and manufacturing process. This is what we came up with:
Early in spring 2015, Golf Inn received its brand-new custom stretch tent, which was successfully installed to spec. A delighted banqueting team can now promote their famous function and wedding venue; come rain or shine.
